We will always have the 2 paths, we need to be able to split concurrent executions in the UI/hop-server. A normal logging framework has no answer for that, the only solution would be to use another logging backend and fetch the information from there, but again, that would be a second implementation. And we are not unique in this way, Jenkins does it, Nifi does it, and probably a ton of other projects do it too. I personally still don't see what we win from these changes. You talk about long-term benefits but have yet to convey them or any path to those benefits. That being said, if nothing breaks. I'm not going to block these changes.
