--- Comment #17 from Armin Le Grand <[email protected]> ---
@gerhard: Thanks for your continued effort. From my POV its not bad news if it
can be reproduced, just the opposite; I need (and thus hope) a reproducable
case, without it I cannot really even try to fix it.
Following your description...

>1st: Open 'Prefs' - open 'colors'.
>For concrete example I take 'diagram 7' (RGB 49/64/4),
>change to 100/100/0 (so you can see a conspicuous change).
>Click 'modify'. The button ‘modify' remains with blue layer, nothing works.

At this point on my screen
- the color in the color field is updated and changed to the new one
- the selected color in the color table is updated
- the modify button keeps the focus (I guess this is 'blue layer')

What do you mean with 'nothing works'? Can you concertize 'nothing', similar to
what I describe in detail? Do you have the same changes/updates or not? What
additionally would you expect to happen?

>Get off with 'ok'.
>In a tab I take the colors for field colors: 'diagram 7'

How do you get to 'a tab' here? What exactly are you doing? Do you start a
Calc, add a Chart, do you use Writer, was it still open? Detailed info here is
*important*, please be more precise.

>is still the old color.
>To control, I reopen 'colors'; 'diagram 7' is still 49/64/4.

Changed in my version.

I will not do the same with the 2nd one here; lets try to get the error you see
nailed down. To do that, please describe more exactly at the points I
described. Every detail is important, e.g. if the new color is not in a already
opened calc before the change it might be a refresh problem for the running
calc, when started one new the situation is completely different (!)

>I'm sorry for this bad news.

As said above, this is good news as soon as it is repeatable.
