I'm not a Decider of these things. But, this JIRA has been open for over a 
year, which tells you something. I'm mostly just noting that in response to the 
"ping". It's not my area of expertise or interest or else I'd review this.

My personal bias is that most real-world problems that look like they'd be cool 
to solve as graph problems, aren't graph problems or aren't great to actually 
solve that way, which kinda explains the empirical result here. But this is a 
very different discussion.
