resources into the UI, I think it's worth a discussion of whether the community
building UIs is really a good investment, or should we just expose these
metrics and let users visualize via much better metrics UI tools like
prometheus + grafana.
I personally prefer the 2nd option for the following reasons:
1) users like us prefer using more mature tools they already have for metrics
charts and UI
2) high difficulty of exposing YuniKorn UI to end users in K8S env with strict
access/port control. Metrics channel are usually already cleared out, and we'd
rather just use that rather than investing additionally to expose YuniKorn UI
3) security. We have good authN/authZ in place in our existing metrics and
visualization tools, which YuniKorn UI doesn't have and it's hard to build
4) overall low ROI of UI. There're many much more important work to do to grow
Yunikorn besides UI. Like scalability, stability, DevOps friendliness
