I finally updated from the archaic ivtv 0.1.10x driver, which worked fine to 0.4.5, and it worked, but only right after I initially installed it, only to never again work at all. I tried everything from reinstalling everything to shutting down for the prescribed five minutes to cold boot, to fiddling around with the setting with ivtvctl, all to no avail. I'm running Linux kernel 2.4.32 with the following two patches applied: linux-2.4.32-dbox2-v4l2.diff linux-2.4.32-i2c-2.10.0-drivers-i2c.diff
My card is an NTSC PVR-350 connected to a normal antenna via coax directly to the back of the card. I get nothing but lines of static with no sound. I also get this cryptic message when I do a "ivtvctl -I": check SAA7115 input signal ioctl: VIDEO_STATUS = Bad SAA7115 reg[STATUS#1 - 0x1E] = 50 Color Standard (D0-D1): BW/No color White peak loop (D2): Not activated Gain value for act.lum.
