Hello Count me in too. I also tried different versions in the last 2 years. Using Suse and compiling myself. Now I use Fedora FC4 and packages from atrpms (they work like a charm, thanks Axel). The only difference is, when I only connect the 9-pin to s-video, so without the composite, I get a picture but it is almost colourless. The same thing goes for me with the settings for "-l". 0 = composite, 1 = black ????, 2 = composite instead of S-Video. I can confirm that my cables/connectors/tv-set using a DVD and a digital camera produce s-video are working approriate. S-Video looks much better than composite, where the picture travels a little bit. I hope that someone has an idea to solve this problem or give any pointers where to search. I hope I can help, because my last kernel programming is about 20 years ago.
