Just wondering if there has been any progress with this at all? I have been following the posts by various others who have been experiencing this problem and for me it is still there with the above kernel version and ivtv driver. I have tried pretty much all the suggestions to remedy the problem but to date, the only one that seems to work is running the command 'ivtvctl -c stream_type=10' after starting Live TV in Myth or prior to kicking off a recording. It would be really good to get back to reliable sound quality which I have not had since the 0.4.x driver series, thanks...
