Posting update for the list.

It seems that every release of ivtv *after* 0.6.1 has this timeout problem for me.  With ivtv 0.6.1 and 2.6.16-1.2111 I never see those timeouts.

ivtv would only seem to seize up when *going* to live tv and not every
single time time.  If it was able to successfully go to live tv without
hanging, it continued to work (even pausing would work).  But if I went back
to the myth menu then switch back to live viewing, that's when it
would sometimes stop responding.  Using firmware version 0x02040011 was
better than the current version in that ivtv seemed to make a recovery
after 10 minutes or so whereas newer versions did not recover.

Whenever switching firmwares I always powered off my machine for a
while.

My system runs FC5 x86_64 on an Athlon 64X2.

If anyone could have a quick look at this I'd very much appreciate it.  Here are some debug messages leading up to " time out" messages, after which the ivtv driver goes out to lunch and cannot be unloaded.  The driver seems to work for a while, then this happens.

This seems to have coincided with an upgrade to the latest myth, but the older rpms have now vaporized from the atrpms repo and older versions don't seem to compile for me on fc5. :-(
