Hi-

I've got a pvr-350 and added pvr-500 to the system running Mythtv on
SuSE 9.2 on a Pundit-R. ivtv 0.3.2k.

The 350 works great, the 1st tuner of the PVR-500mce works great. The
2nd tuner gives me nothing-usually 9 times out of 10 I get a file
size of 0 when I #/dev/video2 > /tmp/test_capture.mpg . Once, I let
the command go for approximately 15 seconds before hitting control-c
and I got a small file- with an mpg that looked like 1 second worth of
tv. When I try to use this tuner within MythTV, the system locks and
I have to hard reboot...

Is this the DMA issue? and I'd be better off trying the new driver?
Or should I look for something in the bios?

There are 3 of lines at very end of dmesg that read:

ivtv: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed
ivtv: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed
ivtv: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed

I'm stumped... I hope I'm missing something stupid. any ideas where to look?

Thanks,

Mike
