Ok, I supposed that is done by setting "vbi format" to none in
mythtv-setup.

Shew.  You know what I am going to do sometime.  I'm going to create a
outline of the menu settings for as much of myth as I can so you can do
text searches to find a setting.  Not criticizing the interface.  Its as
good as it can be.  Its just like trying to find an obscure item at
Walmart.

  Anybody want to host an html version of it whenever I get it done?
If it has already been done, where is it?  I need to print out a poster
to hang beside my tv. :)
