Hmm .. didn't work (set vbi format in mythtv-setup to none right???) ... I reverted back to my stable driver and it still happens. I also upgraded my firmware to the most recent recommended version linked to on ivtv.tv which actually turns out to be the ones I already had. I reverted my copies back over just in case (although the md5's are identical???)

Let me try a cold boot incase there's a corrupted registers or something not being reset on reboot... nope.
