I've successfully built the modules, but my Mandrake install seems to be

Any ideas on how to get around that? modprobe ivtv hangs my system
completely.
Also, I can't really find a PVR150 basic FAQ or guide of any sort;
specifically, what order do I load the modules in, and what modules are
required...

I had a simular problem with SUSE. I finally decided to do a locate to
see if there were duplicate modules. There were. There were two
locations '/lib/modules/extra' and '/lib/modules/ivtv'. The extras
directory had old files in it. I copied the .ko file from what I built
to the extras directory and now my card is auto detected. The bad news
is that I still get only static but at least I'm a little further
ahead.

I'm in the same boat, I think.
I tracked down my symbol problem to missing "hotplug firmware" support
in my kernel, so I'm having to rebuild it with that enabled, so I just
went ahead and unchecked the ivtv support (it's based on 2.0, the kernel
support that is.)
We'll see where that goes.
