Some systems actually put conflicting modules in a /lib/modules/xxx/v4l
or v4l2 directory, which we don't check for during `make install`. My
Makefile-fu stinks beyond simple rules, or else I'd fix that. Just
something to be aware of.

Brian,
The make install step for ivtv should tell you that there are
duplicate file names and that you need to remove them. What I've done
is just erase them. They are all in /lib/modules/KERNEL so I figured I
could get them back again by doing a make modules_install in the
kernel source tree.I don't know how you'd do that on an PRM based
distro if you haven't built your own kernel though. I guess you should
back them up and have them ready to return should you need to at some
future date. Maybe just back up the whole /lib/module/KERNEL path so
you can restore it.
Anyway, that's how I've done it and it seems to work fine. I'm
running both a PVR-150 and a PVR-250.
Good luck,
Mark

I've successfully built the modules, but my Mandrake install seems to be

Any ideas on how to get around that? modprobe ivtv hangs my system
completely.
Also, I can't really find a PVR150 basic FAQ or guide of any sort;
specifically, what order do I load the modules in, and what modules are
required...
