You could try altering this setting (slight modification to the source until i get round to implementing a better way next week). There is a recent (last week) post from Ian Armstrong with information about how to do this. It might or might not help. Also if i get some time i should be able to reduce the cpu usage in the Xdriver which might also help i just don't have any time to look at that yet.
