People seem to think that this is a problem with some via chipsets. I have the same problem on my km266-based asrock mother board, but I've seen it reported with a kt333 as well. Some say a bios upgrade fixes problems like this. It mostly happens when I watch a program over the network, and try to skip some minuts, or do some other heavy hd access over the lan. On my asus motherborard with kt266/333 I don't seem to have this problem, however I have not yet seriously tested this combination.
