Hello Henk, thanks for the tip. It is indeed running on a VIA chipset (ASUS P4V8X-X MB). I'm currently using the latest bios from ASUS, and did not see any improvements.
I'll try on my pundit-r which i ditched because of its lack of PCI slots ...
