Subject: Re: [ivtv-devel] [XDRIVER] 0.10.6 version available
...
I tested this out today. *very* nice. Watching a DVD only pulls about 60%
CPU on my 733mhz P3 now.
Has anyone noticed stability issues with this version?
Compared with which version? Did anything else change as well (ivtv?)
The version that ships with 0.3.7k. No, nothing else changed.
I'm getting a lot
more mythfrontend crashes now.
Can you get a stack trace.
I'll try.
What are you doing in myth (Menus, playback, recording)
All of the above. The menus seem to "invert" and lose button graphics.
Lots of
strange stuff.
How is myth playing back stuff (XV, 350 decoder)?
Both. 350 decoder for TV, XV for DVDs. Both cause crashes. Restarting
mythfrontend doesn't seem to help. I saw the log complain that it was timing
out waiting for the 350's firmware. I know that's vague. I'll try to get
specifics.
Could be that I just added:
options ivtv ivtv_dynbuf=0
to my module config though.
This shouldn't make a difference
OK. Good.
How is the stability for everyone else?
I haven't had any problems but i've been busy.
Is there anything interesting in Xorg log file or system messages file?
I'll try to get this info for you later tonight.
