> I've got one of these bad boys...

::My setup::
PVR150 as /dev/video0
PVR500 as /dev/video1 & /dev/video2

::My tuner::
tveeprom: ivtv version
tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 23552, rev = E587, serial# = 8363284
tveeprom: tuner = Samsung TCPN 2121P30A (idx = 87, type = 68)
tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000)
tveeprom: audio processor = CX25843 (type = 25)
tveeprom: decoder processor = CX25843 (type = 1e)
...
tuner: type set to 68 (Samsung TCPN 2121P30A) by ivtv i2c driver #2
ivtv2: Initialized WinTV PVR 500 (unit #2), card #2

for me, the second tuner on the PVR500 is the worst (with US cable channel 45
being the worst), so I'll use that one.

::The test::
# ivtv-tune -c 45 -d /dev/video2
/dev/video2: 349.250 MHz  (Signal Detected)

# ivtvctl -R -d /dev/video2
ioctl VIDIOC_G_FREQUENCY ok
Frequency = 5588

# ivtvctl -r 5568 -d /dev/video2
ioctl VIDIOC_S_FREQUENCY ok
Frequency set to 5568

# cat /dev/video2 > ch45_2.mpg
# mplayer ch45_2.mpg

it's worst then the original frequency.

# ivtvctl -r 5608 -d /dev/video2
ioctl VIDIOC_S_FREQUENCY ok
Frequency set to 5608

# cat /dev/video2 > ch45_2.mpg
# mplayer ch45_2.mpg

it's also worst then the original frequency.

Just for fun, I also tried +/-10 and +/-5 with similar results. The original
frequency is the "best".
