One line above shows the issue:

Did you put the firmware in /lib/firmware? Is that even the proper
place? Check the wiki for the firmware page, for hints/info on which
firmware to get, and where to place it.

yes i did...that's why i'm so confused...it's there...in both the hotplug/firmware and the lib/firmware...permissions are all correct...
