Be sure to clean out old IVTV files... I had a problem when working with both RPMs and source. I had screwed up my kmdls. Per Axel's advice, I booted to another kernel, removed the kernel and kmdls I wanted to use, made sure I didn't have any of the IVTV files (msp3400.ko, et cetera). Reinstalled the SMP kernel and kmdls, yum installed ivtv-firmware, ivtv-kmdl, ivtv, and it worked.
I don't know if you have any source stuff on your PC but make sure you don't have any of the these files laying around...search for all of them. On 6/6/06, Kevin J.
