I made one a few weeks ago to ivtv-users: http://ivtvdriver.org/pipermail/ivtv-users/2006-September/004320.html The workaround I found was to use this command before using the built-in tuner: v4l2-ctl -t stereo and this one when using the input jack: v4l2-ctl -t bilingual (I'm using 0.8.1, not 0.7.x, so ivtvctl is no longer valid for me.)
