Thanks, Dan. I'll keep that workaround for reference for when the next
version of KnoppMyth is published, since it may use the 2.6.18 kernel /
0.8.x ivtv releases.

I also exchanged messages with Richard Woelk, who posted the original
PVR-250 message I referred to. He provided the following info:

This works on my PVR-350, and is persistent (i.e., only needs to be done
once after booting). I have added this command into the KnoppMyth
"/etc/init.d/set_ivtv_params" file, and my PVR-350 is now recording full
stereo from the s-video/line-in.

Caveats:

    * I don't really use the tuner input on my PVR-350, so I can't be
sure if it is still working 100%, although on strong signals it
      seemed to be fine.
    * I tested with ivtv 0.7.1, but hopefully this also applies to 0.7.0

So, we now have work-arounds for this problem for ivtv 0.7.x and 0.8.x.

However, echoing Dan's comment above, we really need to have a permanent
fix built into ivtv. I've searched the Trac logs, and haven't found any
entries covering this problem. I'm new to this group, so request
guidance: should I be creating a Trac item on this?

ken.
