Hello,

i greped my .config file and could not find an entry like

# CONFIG_VIDEO_IVTV=m

that i could uncomment so i added the line manually, still after recompile i
do not get any module named ivtv in /lib/modules/2.6.22-r1. I checked the
help within "make menuconfig" in "video capture card" section and to me it
looked like

   <M> Blackbird MPEG encoder support (cx2388x + cx23416)

matches the best according to the description but the module name is
not "ivtv" but "cx88-blackbird". I search the section and could not find any
entry that explicity stated "IVTV" in the help file.

Then i thought maybe the "gentoo-sources" (which are kernel sources with some
gentoo added patches) does not include the support for "ivtv" so i
downloaded "vanilla-sources" (the offiical kernel source) but nothing in
there that builts "ivtv" as a module.

So my question is now, whether the new ivtv driver has a different name or if
i am right with choosing cx88-blackbird and only have an issue with module
loading.

Regards,

Jan
