Many thanks...I found the problem. You gave the right hint providing the 
relevant sections of your config file. 

I missed CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L1=y (I just had  CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L1_COMPAT=y) so a lot 
of capture card including the "ivtv" where just not displayed in the config 
menue.

I do a compile right now and see if it works :)
