Hi Mailinglist Users,
According to the Mailinglist rules: I am not subscribed to this List.
I downloaded and installed today the new 0.10.4 driver in the hope that
this driver now supports my TV-Card, also because i have seen this:
...
#ifdef HAVE_XC3028
/* Yuan PG600-2/GotView PCI DVD Lite/Club3D ZAP-TV1x01 cards */
...
in the ivtv-cards.c inside the ivtv-0.10.4.tar.gz:/ivtv-0.10.4/driver/
I dont have a clue about programming, i am just a normal user. So i
thought the driver would detect my card automatically. But it has not.
The dmesg output of the ivtv modules:
ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ====================
ivtv: version 0.10.4 (tagged release) loading
ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.21-1.3228.fc7 SMP mod_unload
ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info between
ivtv: the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines, along with
ivtv: any module options, when mailing the ivtv-users mailinglist.

Do i have to add some lines or options in my modprobe.conf?
Please help me.
What kind of help do you need? According to the above dmesg output,
it looks like your card is installed, configured and initialized. You should
have
devices /dev/video0, /dev/video32 /dev/vbi0 /dev/video24. To test
it, you should be able to do a 'cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/test.mpg',
and see the file grow. If in fact that works, then you just need
to figure out what kind of TV viewing application you are going to use
and let it know you have a /dev/video0 device. There is lots
of discussion about that all over the web. mythtv, tvtime, mplayer,
etc are all possibilities.
