Hi Hans, I tried again with the 0.10 branch, same result: Works fine with nosmp disabling SMP, but not with two processors, where channel changes sometimes freeze the system. Hmm, yes, there are other problems: My ethernet card doesn't like half-duplex (I think), can't get the cpu(s) to show me their temperatures, and for some reason my 2GHz processors are running at 600MHz. So yes, there are "some other problem"s :-) . But it is strange, that the machine freezes exactly when another frontend changes the channel without anything else going on on the backend machine, don't you think? Anyway, I can live with the nosmp option, as the machine is even fast enough with 1 CPU @ 600MHz. Would it be OK for me to change the wiki to say that "one user reports that 'nosmp' avoids freezing." or something to that effect, so if others have a similar situation, they can find help?
