I switched to KnoppMyth a few days ago, and it had the needed kernel-devel packages.
This compiled and installed fine, and I rebooted the system but unfortunately the problem persists. I should add that I believe the problem began after upgrading software, so it's possible using my old firmware (which I no longer have, but obtained around Oct. 2005) might solve the problem. Is this likely a firmware issue? Is there a place to obtain old firmware for the Hauppage PVR-500? - Christopher Thielen Hans Verkuil wrote: > Doesn't ring a bell for me. > > First thing to do is to get the latest v4l-dvb sources: > > http://www.linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb/archive/tip.tar.bz2 > > Run 'make' and 'make install'. > > You may need to install a kernel-devel or kernel-headers package to be > able to compile it all.
