Hans,
First, thank you very much for replying to my inquiry. I have been
struggling with this problem for months. Can I ask if you think I even
have a chance on making it work for a 64 bit box on 2.6.17? I want very
much to upgrade this kernel, but for some reason I have RAID issues with
all non-stock kernels above .17. I've tried many. In particular the
Mandriva TMB kernels are recommended, but all have boot issues. If you
know of any tips to deal wtih Nvidia software RAID problems with drives
not booting I'd sure love to hear it!! I have posts all over the map to
try to fix this.

Again I'm using Mandriva 2007 kernel 2.6.17 (various vintages) on a AMD 64
bit box with Asus M2N-SLi-DX with an nForce 570 SLi chipset. The RAID on
the MB is apparently software based and is the source of much Linux grief.

This is making me crazy!! Take note that I am a newbie and this could be
something simple to get to a newer less troublesome kernel.

Many Thanks!
Scott
