Hi folks!
I'm experiencing some trouble with my PVR-150 and ivtv.
I'm using Gentoo and Freevo to record some tv show.
The first record always works. But when I try to record more I get:
DMA TIMEOUT 00000001 0
and I need to reboot if I want to record again.
I tried on the following kernel:
linux-2.6.21-gentoo-r4
linux-2.6.23-gentoo-r6
linux-2.6.23-gentoo-r8
linux-2.6.23-gentoo-r9
linux-2.6.24-gentoo-r3
with following ivtv version:
ivtv-1.0.3-r2.ebuild
ivtv-1.0.3-r1.ebuild
ivtv-1.0.3-r2.ebuild
When I tried linux-2.6.24-gentoo-r3 with ivtv-1.0.3-r2
It was worse. I got timeout immediately after a reboot even without
recording.
I also followed the troubleshooting guide on the FAQ.
I played with pci latency following this tutorial
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/PCI_Latency
I also tried removing cool'n'quiet putting CPU on non SMP.
The only thing I didn't tested is putting the system on x86 instead of
x86_64.
Configuration:
Gigabyte GeForce 7200GS 256MB
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+
ASUS Motherboard with K8M890CE chipset
2GB of ram.
Best Regards.
