Slackware 12.1 comes with the 2.6.24.5, and although I haven't upgraded to
12.1 yet...
Is there any reason why you have the driver compiled in and not compiled
as a module
(IMHO it appears to work better as a module loading firmware and such...)
also and this would more likely fix your issue... go to the kernel
directory and configure/compile your kernel
sounds flaky I know as hey I just installed and I have a compiled keynel out
of the box but what you don't have in the
object files in /usr/src/linux for compileing kernel modules out of kernel
space (hmm interesting again as I rant if the ivtvfb driver requires
parts of ivtv and ivtv is not compiled as a module then does it also have to
be the same... )
Just some thoughts...
