I was infact using the stock kernel but compiled my own to slim down the kernel.
cat /boot/config-2.6.24.5-smp | grep IVTV shows CONFIG_VIDEO_IVTV=m CONFIG_VIDEO_FB_IVTV=m Which tells me they are compiled as modules. Also I noticed a note in README file for ivtv 1.0.3. It says the the drivers and tools are only made for kernel 2.6.22.x and 2.6.23.x. The error I got says it is missing media/ivtv.h (which is located in driver/media/ivtv.h). I peculiar thing I noticed is that I can manually go in a do a successful make from the utils, i2c-drivers and test sub directories in ivtv-1.0.3 source but when I try make in driver sub directory...that's where it fails and gives me that error. I am not a programmer by any means but it looks like a include file issue. Just my 2c. Thanks for your reply...looking forward to a solution. -Nishant _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
