So one chooses the output bit rate and the PVR-250 adjusts the compression to achieve it? Since you mention it, I see IVTV has a codec parameter "bitrate" and for me (default, apparently), it is 8 million. Assuming that's bits per second, that's pretty close to the amount of data I'm getting out.
