Extended midrange PICs (e.g. 16F1828) can have multiple MSSP modules, but the current device files do not provide unnumbered aliases for the registers of the first module. Currently such aliases are provided only for the 18Fs (e.g. 'alias SSPCON is SSP1CON1'). Consequently the SPI and I2C libraries cannot be used with these PICs. Device files should be updated for this omission.
