You used the word 'silly' before and now 'sensible'. I'd rather see you use arguments, especially since (as I mentioned before), your 'sensible' solution has a severe limitation.
Joep PS Actually it would be better if someone supplied real arguments why it would be worth while to have a JAL to C translator.
