Peter, the proposal for watchdog change has been put out an hour or so back and I sent some questions on it.
Your patch was sent on 8th, Danny had issues with it and Noel told me over IM that your were fixing bugs in it. Expected freeze was on 10th and you still haven't posted a bug fixed patch. What do you want me to say ? I prefer patching the server with better scheduler for now. I agree the interface to manage timouts/(or scheduler for timeouts) needs changes but I don't want to cross the hill today. That is my preference but I have said if there is significant measurable gain I will not have an issue. Also if other committers agree to the change, I'll go along. Don't know what else to say...
