True a lot are in the faq but I ran into many problems with
my install. It took 2.5 days to get working and it still does
not work at start up. I have to launch JServ ajp by hand.
I have to say part of it was getting my build environment sane
gcc with libs, automake, autoconf, etc. Plus building Apache
with DSO, These things took a day and a half. The actual
JServ install took a day
This might be a better question for the developer list, but
since the complexity of the install is in question here. I will
ask. Would anyone like me to help write an installer/helper app.
That would wrap around the basic scripts. If someone would point
me in the direction of automake, autoconf basics. I wouldnt really
need to be messing with the scripts just understanding what they
are doing and how they are built.
Plus maybe even
a GUI configuration tool and test mode.
