Hmmm,

I have been using StarOffice 5.2 and 6 Beta both with no problems
but the beta has now "expired" and I cant read the sxw files in
5.2.

So, I am hoping to be able to do that in OpenOffice??

You would think I have the Java there for OpenOffice if the other
two progs worked?

However setup cant find java. What i do seem to have is
/usr/bin/java which seems to be kaffe - whatever that is.

I have been recommended to install Java2 SDK and am looking to
install j2sdk-1_4_0-linux-i386-rpm.bin - this may be the best for
mozilla plugin?

Can i then install 1.1.8 for Open or Star Office as well?

I wonder if this is or should all be done by mandrake and i made an
error in the installation?

OR

Would it be better to upgrade to Mandrake 8.2

(I may copy this post to the mandrake list.)
