You asked:

"Are you sure you are using the directX version of java3d???"

I am not sure of **anything**. How can I tell????

I thought I was using OpenGL, but when I installed the card,
non of the Java3D stuff worked. After calling support and doing
some tests, it was found that I didn't have directx installed.
The support person said you have to directX installed in order to
use the card. And they said that directX is usually installed
when Windows 95 gets installed. (They had me enter "dxdiag" on
"start->run" and when it couldn't find it, the support person said
I needed to install directX.)

After installing DirectX, the Java 3D programs worked. But how do I
know its really using the acceleration features of the card??

=> this so mean your card is set to optimize directX programs?

Are you sure you are using the directX version of java3d???
if not, you card is probably not used at all.And be aware that NT does NOT
support currently direct X (well, not the level j3d requires)
Hope it helps
