Any card with the nVidia GeForce 256 is a screamer with OpenGL/DirectX/ and
Java3D.
We have tested several and they all are workstation fast.
I highly recommend it.

BTW, 3fps on a machine like that means that Java3D is software rendering
unless your scene is very complex. Java3d, and other OpenGL apps, have
problems using the ATI cards. My laptop, ATI RAGE LE, runs DirectX fine but
OpenGL sssllloooowww.
Unless ATI comes out with some better OpenGL drivers, it will always run
sllooowwww.
Get a GeForce, nuff said.
