We have the exact same card and it runs beautifully on 98 and NT.
Here's a couple of things to check.
What version of Java3D are you running? OpenGL or DirectX? DirectX is no
good on NT.
Try installing Service Pack 5 for NT.
Get the latest GeForce OpenGL drivers from www.nVidia.com
Good luck, and if that doesn't fix it give a holler!
