Hi Pedro,

   Java3D did not support 256 color mode display.
It is up to the opengl driver to handle this case,
some OGL driver will fail to create Canvas3D,
other will display strange color like this. In fact,
the D3D version of Java3D will automatically switch
to fullscreen 16 bit color mode in this case and give
user a warning message.
