Ok, this is going to far indeed - I just wanted to stress that for me
documentation is not most important (after few voices telling that docs
are first priority). You are right that there is no point in taking
example one by one.

I used this word here because I was not sure if I understood your
citation correctly (I have not read this book). I was guessing at "Real
Time Rendering" wording, not on java3d spec.

To end this thread - I'm just playing with java3d and not creating any
serious project with it - no customer pressure etc, etc. I believe that
in a real case lacking documentation can be a real pain - I know this
from working with swing HTML pane, which was also mostly trial-and-error
plus a lot of reading source.
