You can look at the Raw Java3D tutorial:
http://www.j3d.org/tutorials/raw_j3d/
I think there were some articles in www.javaworld.com a while back - go there
and search for Java3D.
If you read these tutorials, and add a bit of effort you will be able to produce
something. Leave complaining to the politicians!!
