I know this was meant to be a private reply, but there's a bunch of FAQ stuff here, so I might as well let everyone in on it. I'll do the rest as a private reply.

Don't want you to ruin my reputation of being a grumpy bugger that swears to much and calls people names! Besides, I've just got an overly loud voice and gets pissed off when people say they're going to do something and don't follow through. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself and all that jazz.... > What's going on with you, Alan and Yumetech? Lots of things. Doing lots of tender bidding currently. Our main project for the next 12 months is developing a system for digitially storing and re-creating rare books for Ibilio. All sorts of things here, but high-fidelity texture mapping and large-volume texture mapping are going to be two primary concerns for us. Most of the work is proprietary, but a large piece of it will be built on open source code (mainly Xj3D and j3d.org stuff) and we have an agreement to release all that work back to the codebase (they would actually prefer it!). > Are you working with Don Brutzman? Yes and no. A lot of our current bidding for tenders is being done with Don and a couple of others. I'm pulling in a lot of my military software development background for these projects. There are other things that we're looking at doing ourselves. Basically, if there's a contract involving 3D graphics, we'll look at bidding or partnering with others. So if _anyone_ is interested in that sort of thing (joint proposal grants, tenders etc) we would like to know. > If you would > have to kill me if you told me, then don't > please! Not yet, but it looks like you might have died of embarrasment anyway :) I believe they call that self-inflicted wounds. :P -- Justin Couch http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Freelance Java Consultant http://www.yumetech.com/ Author, Java 3D FAQ Maintainer http://www.j3d.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Humanism is dead.
