Hi Olivier > how can I get the volume and the surface of a 3D object in java3d?
Well you normaly describe the surface of your 3d objects in the Shape node so you already should have this. (Geometry = surface). I'm not sure what you mean by volume but you can get at least the BoundingVolume through the BoundingBox of your Shape node (this will be normally autogenerated).
