I got myself a 1.8Ghz laptop featuring a GeForce4 Go card half a year ago. As I purchased at a local discounter, the price was affordable. Better still, the quality was more than one would expect. Since then, I've done a lot of 3D development under Java3D and a number of other environments on the machine and never encountered any problems. I even played UT2003 on it, no shader support but beside that, a smooth and visually rocking experience :-)
Bottom line: As long as you purchase a complete package and do not try to combine this laptop with that very special card, I guess it'll be alright and you wont run into too much problems. Finally, any help is much appreciated, as are recommendations for particular specs.
