More information on the issue. When starting the app, the color texture is transparent, that is nothing is reflected. If i set the 'reflection mapping', the reflection shows up in the color texture of the polygon. If i set back to 'normal mapping', the reflection is still there. If i rotate the scene, the filtering bug does not occur, and the reflection is always there. weird.
By the way, i"ve used an opengl tracer utility to try to understand if the bug is from the drivers or j3d, but i'm definitly not an expert on GL and could not find anything interesting in the logs. You should give a try with that.
