Not to mention: 1) support for stereoscopic rendering 2) a realistic view model that takes the viewers realf life phyical position into account 3) ALL the other benefits of Java (threading, utilities, etc) 4) a full vector math library
Arguments about Java3D not adding anything to OpenGL are the same as arguments like Java Vs. C++. They are stupid, and usually wrong. The very fact that the entire notion of a scene graph was questioned leads me to wonder why I am even wasting my time writing this email.
