I agree, Java3D is great.

We based our VisAD visualization library on Java3D, and
there are now many visualization systems based on VisAD
that are mature and are being deployed.

The fact that Java3D is not supported on Mac is really
HURTING those deployments. We made a commitment to the
platform independence and great design of Java and Java3D,
and now we are being hurt because Steve Jobs and Scott
McNealy care more about their childish pissing contest
than they do about their users.

I do not complain about the slowdown in Java3D development,
because Sun deserves some slack given the economic downturn.
But failure to deploy Java3D on all major platforms is an ego
problem, not a resource problem.

Me too.
