I've just found LRC format which would be quite appropriate:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LRC_(file_format)
It's based on plain text, so easy to handle and supported by some
devices and software.
I'm searching for a good Winamp plugin which I could use for editing
LRC files on the fly. Or another media player for Vista which supports
editing this kind of format.
